Lynette Power..........

"I earned a BA degree in art from Winona State University in 1991. I also studied sculpture under many outstanding national and international sculptors at the Fine Arts Academy in Loveland, Colorado and the Scottsdale School of Fine Arts. These teachers have been an enormous influence and have given me the tools I need to materialize my artistic visions. I have spent 30 years working in clay.

I have exhibited my clay work at art shows throughout the country for the past 30 years, including the Uptown Art Show in Minneapolis, Art on the Square in Madison, numerous Chicago mall and street shows.

The past six years I have been part of two local studio tours; Winona Artists hold a Holiday Art Walk and the southeastern Minnesota region’s Bluff Country Spring Art Tour.

The past 15 years I have primarily been showing my clay work at Renaissance Festivals: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Colorado and Arizona.

I exhibited my bronze at two of the nations largest sculpture shows the Loveland High Plains Sculpture show in 2005 and the Loveland Invitational in 2006

The bronze version of Winona’s 7’ heron, River Spirit, won a place in Dubuque Iowa’s exhibition “Art on the River” at their new River port Area. The ten sculptures in the exhibition will be auctioned off in May of 2007."
